Dedicated to saving dogs from HIGH KILL shelters
and finding them safe and loving homes in New England.

Northern New England Dog Rescue is a group of volunteers dedicated to
saving dogs that would otherwise be euthanized from High Kill shelters and
finding them permanent loving homes in New England.   While they are with us, adoptable dogs are housed in foster homes, with people we trust to care for them. They work on basic house manners and obedience and we get to know their personalities and what it is like to live with them. At NNEDR we try to make the best matches we can for the dogs and the families that are looking to adopt them. Please take them time to read about our adoption process. We also recommend you research the breed of dog you are interested in adopting to make sure your lifestyle and family are a good match for one another.

NNEDR is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Vermont; we are in the process of obtaining a 501c3.  Currently we meet our expenses through adoption fees, fundraising events, and donations.

The King

Picture
King is a wonderful little guy. He is super smart, working on his house training and obedience skills. He is crate trained. King is fostered in a home with dogs, cats and small children. He is gentle and respectful of his housemates and would be a great addition to almost any family. The ideal home for King would be one in which he receives regular exercise and continues his positive reinforcement training. King is about 10 weeks old now, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and healthy! For more information on King please email shane@nnedr.org.

Jet!
Jet is fantastic dog for the right person or family. 1 Year old, house trained, obedience trained, crate trained, neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. This guy has a ton of energy and personality! Jet's ideal  home will be with an experienced trainer, strong leader, with daily exercise and lots of attention. He is fostered with dogs and children. He would do best in a family with dog savvy kids over 12, with or without another dog, but should not live with cats. If you are interested in learning more about this beautiful boy email shane@nnedr.org.

Something To Bark About, NNEDR News...

We have been experiencing some technical difficulties with our adopt@nnedr.org address. If you have tried to email us about a dog and you have not heard back in the last couple of months we probably did not receive your email. I am so sorry. If we still have the dog you were interested in please email us again (the problem should be fixed). Or email me directly shane@nnedr.org.
